After School Arts

Dallas International School shows their belief in the importance of extra-curricular activities by offering their so-called After School Activity Program. This program provides a vast array of activities one can select from for the enhancement of the capabilities of every student. The After School Activity Program are all held inside the campus and done in enjoyable and enriching classes, making every student still experience fun while waiting for their busy parents who often don’t meet the carpool schedule.

DIS After School Activity Program includes Arts, Sports and Athletics, and Languages and Tutoring. The Art program provides students the chance to explore the various styles of renowned painters and discover on how to emulate them. This workshop makes students express themselves freely through drawing and painting, with the use of clay and pastels. They also offer chess tutorials to improve the student’s attitudes and virtues of patience, understanding, and concentration. The chess after school sessions also serves as wonderful training ground for those students who desire to join future chess competitions with other schools. Their pottery sessions offer a great sense of pride in every child as they take joy in making their own creative pottery art pieces that requires a lot of their manual skills and imaginations. On the other hand, if the child is more inclined towards theatre, there are After School Activity Programs that offer introduction to dance, drama classes, and music.

All these prove to develop a sharpened sense of freedom, expression, and creativity in every student.
