Dallas International School
With the world becoming more advanced and global in these days of the Internet and the emergence of high technology gadgets, our children born to fulfil the hopes and dreams of the coming generations need to be trained in learning institutions that offer global education. Dallas International School shares this same passion in raising children not only of a certain country but of citizens of the world.
Located in Dallas, Texas, DIS educates its students with the mission focusing on high quality academic curriculum with the comprehensive incorporation of multiple language instruction and deep introduction to various cultural views. In particular, they integrate the French curriculum and American education, along with the offering of two other renowned languages of Spanish and Chinese. In DIS, the immense family of staff, teachers and parents, work together to inculcate in the learning spaces of every student the essential concepts of creative and critical thinking, intellectual inquisitiveness, the love for learning, a sound work ethic, and a balance of physical, emotional, and intellectual development. With all these, DIS believes that this will help in the cultivation of every student’s character to attain the sense of integrity, confidence, leadership, compassion, and generosity that will produce individuals that are civic and socially responsible.
Along with other 70 schools around the globe, Dallas International School is a proud member of the Mission Laïque Française school network and the Association of French Schools in America.
DIS offers courses of direct teaching to levels from preschool to eight grade. On the other hand, for students under grades nine to twelve, they are educated with a program that is combined with direct teaching and the correspondence of CNED, National Center for Education at a Distance, which is based in France.
